Stayed overnight at Islamic Center of Bandung (PUSDAI Mosque)…it was Chinese’s New Year holiday (I’m not Chinese, I didn’t celebrate it)…actually didn’t plan it b4 but my friend asked me to accompany her there. My main reason not to go there b4 was the activities done. Night’s prayer shouldn’t be performed in ‘jamaah’/together…better to perform it by yourself alone…That’s sunnah prayer…I didn’t know exactly the ‘dalil’ but I’d heard that it was not exampled by Prophet Muhammad SAW… My friend was still a member of a harakah/a party (I had joined it, too, but not it’s now because later I knew that it was not shar’i)…I told my friend about the harakah but she’s still believe in her faith…so, I just prayed to Allah that she would be back to the right way again…amiin…
But however, I was so happy to be there again, in His House…Listened to Al Quran recitation before sleeping…and prayer for brothers and sisters in Palestine…
And…back to the topic of my spare time. I think I have to give more time to study Al Quran…To save my faith…
I imagine, If I had a chance to study postgraduate, I think I want to study Islam in an Islamic atmosphere…or study Chemistry but in an Islamic atmosphere…(but where do I can find it..? Perhaps in Mecca or Madinah but I can’t speak Arabic)…
To be honest…sometimes I can’t stand with common people here, muslims here don’t know the true practice of Islam…In Islam you must not touch non mahram (non related man/woman)…so I don’t shake hand with men (non mahram) but they usually think that I am weird…but the truth is they are damn weird!
Then…in Islam, teenager (a single man/woman) don’t date…! Just read Al Quran Surah Al Isra 17:32…But almost all muslims here don’t know or don’t care about that…
You will find muslims easily here but you will find hardly the real Islam here…So, that’s really our big tasks…to dakwah…
